Below are a number of questions that we are most frequently asked by users of the site.

What is Local Party Wall Surveyors?

Local Party Wall Surveyors is a directory website that is specifically designed for party wall surveyors and firms. The objective of the directory is to make it easy to find and compare party wall surveying businesses in one place.

We recognise that party wall surveyors come from many varying backgrounds, and professions, and so the directory aims to bring them together on one platform with the intention of being the primary online resource for finding and engaging party wall surveyors.

Is this a lead generation website?

The Local Party Wall Surveyors directory is not a lead generation website. You are not charged for appearing in search results, regardless of how many times you appear. Any fees for using the directory are solely for your directory listing which are known upfront. There are no hidden costs.

How do free trials work?

Free trials are available for premium Standard Listings. It is not necessary to provide payment information to take advantage of a free trial, and you are not bound to any contract.

Near to the end of the trial period you will be sent an email asking you whether you would like to keep your premium listing. If you do want to keep it you can simply reply to the email and we will provide further details on how to set up a payment method. Once this is done your premium listing will then automatically renew.

If you do not want to keep your premium listing at the end of the free trial, just ignore the email and when your listing expires we will re-list it as a free Basic Listing.

Do I have to pay to appear on the directory?

You do not need to pay to be on the directory. Basic listings are always free.

Paid listings are available and include Standard and Featured listings which provide more features and appear higher in search results.

Standard Listings include:

  • Company logo and cover image
  • About text
  • Direct enquiry forms on your listing
  • Appearing above free listings
  • Improved appearance in search results

Featured Listings have all of the features of Standard Listings but appear at the top of search results and on the home page.

How do I add my business to the directory?

To add your business to the directory, or to claim a listing, please email Patrick Bell on [email protected].

Patrick will be able to guide you through the setup process and confirm any information that is required. He will also confirm any fees for premium Standard Listings and current free trial periods. (Basic Listings are free).

How do I edit and manage my listing?

Once your account and listing are set up you will be emailed with a username and password to login. From your user dashboard you will then be able to manage and edit your listing, including featuring your listing, editing the listing content, and viewing and managing any payments.

How do I request the removal of a listing?

If you would like to remove your listing, or a listing that displays your business information, please visit our contact page. From there you can contact us and we will process your request.

How do I switch my plan?

If you would like to change between a free and paid listing, or vice versa, you can do so by navigating to your My Listings page and selecting the option to “Switch Plan”. You can then choose from the available options.

Note that when you switch plans the changes will take effect immediately and any remaining time on a paid listing will be lost.
